Newport Hops
Developed at the Agricultural Research Service in Corvallis, Ore., Newport hops are a newer, high alpha bittering variety with very high oils and deliver a much more balanced bittering and flavor profile than a Magnum or Galena.

Alpha acids 13.5-17.0%, beta acids 7.2-9.1%, cohumulone 36-38%, high total oils 1.6-3.6ml/100g, myrcene 47-54%, humulene 9-11%, caryophyllene 4.5-7.0%
Aroma
Earthy citrus with wine and balsamic notes and a fairly pungent, resin-like flavor
